Every batch of Oceanus Living sea moss is independently tested before it reaches you. We publish exactly what's measured — and nothing before it's measured.
First batch testing in progress.
Our first batch is currently with an independent UK laboratory for heavy-metals and iodine testing. Results and the full Certificate of Analysis will be published on this page as soon as they are issued.
We do not publish indicative or estimated figures — only measured results from the actual batch on sale.
Why we test every batch.
Sea moss is a marine plant that naturally absorbs minerals from its environment — including potentially harmful heavy metals if grown in polluted waters. Much of the sea moss on sale arrives with no independent verification of purity at all.
We commission independent laboratory testing on every batch before it is released for sale. That includes four key heavy metals and the iodine content per serving — so the label reflects what's actually in the jar.
What we test for.
Lead (Pb)
Heavy metal — sea moss can absorb it from polluted waters.
Total Arsenic (As)
Heavy metal — naturally present in some marine environments.
Cadmium (Cd)
Heavy metal — tested against UK food supplement guidance.
Mercury (Hg)
Heavy metal — tested against UK food supplement guidance.
Iodine
Measured per serving so the label states exactly what you get.
Do not exceed the stated daily dose. Not suitable for people with thyroid conditions or taking thyroid medication unless advised by a healthcare professional. Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding without medical advice.
